Since its founding in 1970, MOSY has grown into an important part of the cultural life of Mid-Missouri. Today, MOSY continues its mission through professional orchestral performances, music education, and diverse community experiences.

MOSY is demystifying classical music through intentional programming that makes orchestral music inclusive and accessible to everyone our community. In addition to traditional Masterworks concerts, MOSY programs performances that appeal to families and younger audiences, as well as culturally impactful concerts that explore and tell the stories of underrepresented groups and Columbia history.
