American Rhapsody: A Fourth of July Celebration in Sound
Saturday, July 4th 2026 | 11:00am | Missouri Theatre, Columbia MO
A summer favorite, reimagined for an even more family-friendly experience, this year’s patriotic pops is an hour-long celebration designed for audiences of all ages. Conducted by Jacob Schnitzer in his final performance with MOSY, this late-morning concert captures the excitement of fireworks and recreates it onstage through music that sparkles and soars. From Sousa marches to Superman, from “America the Beautiful” to “Armed Forces Medley” honoring those who have served and continue to serve, the Missouri Symphony invites you to share in a morning of music that honors legacy while embracing the present — a shared civic moment in the heart of Mid-Missouri.
This is designed to be a welcoming concert experience for audiences of all ages. Families are encouraged to join us for this festive morning performance, and kids can enjoy pre-show activities and special Fourth of July activity booklets available at the concert. The concert will last one hour.
